The Land

The Ivory Coast, officially called the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, is believed to be the place where tourists with different preferences in terms of travel experience can find what they are looking for. Traditionally known as the “teeth coast” country due to actively participating in the ivory trade. Those who are looking for breathtaking views and opportunities to observe wild animals in their natural habitat are all found here.

The People

The spiritual harvest truly is plenteous in Côte d’Ivoire. But false religions are visibly present, striving to keep the people of Côte d’Ivoire in spiritual bondage.

The typical Ivoirean is quite religious but confused regarding “works” salvation. Many regions, especially in the interior villages, are still influenced by Animism and local fetishes. And unfortunately, Islam is also expanding into Côte d’Ivoire.

The Missions Work

Opportunities to witness for Christ abound in Côte d’Ivoire, whether it be in the capital  or in a remote village accessible only by foot or four-wheeler.

Each year, the Lord has allowed YOM’s team to see hundreds of professions of salvation and many Christians encouraged in the faith.
